Frequently Asked Questions

Does it work in private channels?

Yes! Invite the bot first with /invite @Thread to LLM in the private channel. After that, /copy-thread works normally.

Are my messages stored?

No. Messages are processed in real-time and immediately discarded. We never store message content. See our Privacy Policy for details.

What gets anonymized?

User names are replaced with User_1, User_2, etc. Message content stays exactly the same - we only anonymize who said what, not what was said.

Can I export long threads?

Yes! Threads of any length are supported. A 50-message thread typically processes in ~2 seconds.

What about direct messages (DMs)?

DMs are not supported. The app only works with channel messages and threads. This is a Slack API limitation.

How do I uninstall?

Go to your Slack workspace settings → AppsThread → LLMRemove App. Your installation token will be automatically deleted from our database.

Does it work with emojis and attachments?

Emojis are preserved in the output. Attachments (images, files) are not included - only text content is exported.

Can I use it on mobile?

Yes! The /copy-thread command works on Slack mobile apps. Copy the link from a message and paste it into the command.

What happens if I paste an invalid link?

The bot will respond with a clear error message explaining what went wrong (e.g., "Invalid thread link" or "Thread not found").

Is there a limit on how many threads I can export?

Currently, there are no limits. The app is free to use for all features.
